Well it's very apparent that I don't write on this blog much. I guess life just gets too busy and I don't remember to take note of the important events that are happening in our lives! Hopefully someday I will go back and note some events since I wrote last, but I don't want to let these last few weeks fly by and not celebrate them!
Will came home from his freshman year at BYU the last week of April. He settled in quickly to being at home again, with parents breathing down his neck! Since his cousin Ryan is already in the MTC, he had Jacob to pal around with, and various other kids from high school. We said farewell to Jacob, who will be serving in Romania on his mission on May 1st. It was fun to see these 2 guys, who've been friends since kindergarten, say goodbye!
Jacob will be an awesome missionary! He's a great young man :)
We've been working on getting Will "ready" for Spain. This has included trips to have fingerprinting done, passport photos taken (more), downtown LA for Secretary of State to give him his "apostille", etc. The visa work was intense - but yesterday we were finally able to pick it up in Los Angeles!! It's official - he is going to Spain! Flight plans arrived last week - early morning June 11th he flies to NYC and then straight onto Spain to arrive there Wednesday, June 12th.

Enough for now. I just have to say that getting a missionary ready to leave is bitter sweet! I am SO excited for him to go and serve in Spain, but will miss him terribly. It will truly be the best 2 years!!! Lauren arrives tonight - we are super excited to have her here - to hang out with Will and me!! We love her!
Now if I can just figure out how to say goodbye to this kid for 2 years!?
